To enhance and broaden the global experiences of students and faculty, Lingnan University has been actively establishing strategic collaborations with institutions worldwide. “Our partnership with renowned international collaborators in launching the CGHE marks another important milestone in Lingnan University’s internationalisation achievements,” said Prof Leonard K Cheng, President of Lingnan University.
“This collaboration enables the University to tap into a leading worldwide research platform and showcase our world class excellence in the area of global higher education research,” added Prof Cheng.
CGHE’s research integrates local, national and global perspectives and aims to inform and improve higher education policy and practice. It has more than £6 million in funding from the Economic and Social Research Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
Under the Centre’s extensive research programmes, Prof Mok will lead a three-year research programme entitled “UK international graduates in East Asia: careers, earnings, jobs, mobility”, which is planned to be embarked in the second half of 2016. The research will examine different development aspects of Asian students graduating from universities in the UK including their graduate employment, career development and social mobility. It will also examine how universities in the UK prepare these graduates for employment.
